The staff of dudubarrosjj.com would like to congratulate Mike Varner and Chris Kriebel on their recent promotions. On May 10, 2010 Eduardo promoted Mike to blue belt and Chris to purple belt. Congratulations! Keep up the fine work! 

March 13 and 14 the Dudu Barros Jiu Jitsu Academy played host to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Legend Renato "Charuto" Verissimo for a two day seminar. Charuto, a former Brazilian, Pan Am and World champion and Abu Dhabi winnner is probably best known as the coach of UFC Lightweight Champion BJ Penn. Charuto conducted a two day seminar covering a variety of techniques and positions and everyone who attended learned a great deal.

The staff at www.dudubarrosjj.com would like to congratulate  John Smith who won the White belt feather weight division at a recent tournament. John won all 4 of his matches, winning 3 of them by submission! John was promoted to the rank of blue belt on February 12th. Way to go John! 

Dudu Barros Jiu Jitsu Academy students Korey Kilburn and Trevor Hoogland finished 3rd in their division at the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio. Way to go guys!
